Great imagery. Wish I could take a flight of such wonderful imagination and drop such beautiful lines. Loved it.
Although I don't drink alcoholic beverages, I was able to soar along with you on this fantastic flight of imagination, intoxicated by your magic words. A wonderful poem!
Valsa, you amaze me, delight me, challenge me! ! This is a remarkable journey on several levels- poetically, imaginatively, emotionally. You had me ping ponging through space, rebounding off stars, then captivated by Eurydice. The beautiful sounds of the words you used, the avalanche of the word shiver [sooooooooo well done], these attentions to detail are the mark of a truly wonderful poet.
Thank you so much Susan....! ! I feel so bloated up! Your comment is poetry of the first rate! !
In the silence and seclusion of the sky shouting for lovely pattern gives amazing effect on imagery shared here. Reaching a safe spot always we look behind and do assessment of past. Very wonderfully penned poem is shared on fantasy topic.10
Great imagination that rockets into space with the world of fantasy and the spine tingling end! Superb write!
Like a gecko that drops its tail Her amputated arm shivered in my hand Or did my hand shiver in hers? I seriously take my fantasies as fantasy might become fact, off course, may acquire a different shape just like a gecko without a tale. An interesting poem..........
I have gone to places before, after imbibing various alcohols and miscellany; and your fantasy rivals them all. Thank you, Valsa
It is both fantasy and hallucination very brilliantly written. The readers levitate with you rubbing against golden clouds of beautiful imagery. But, one thing, bubbly ale might exhilarate; it never gives hallucinations, unless adulterated. That is experience speaking. (10)
You made the hallucination so real. Often it may not be possible to recall such state in detail.
Wowww. this is a wonderful flight of poetic imagination. A fantasy woven around two characters from Greek mythology. This is quite epic. I would also want to let my mind fly like this. That's a poet exploring new grounds. Kudos valsa.10
An universal anecdote on pain, In limit an elixir and a potion, A must it is, in our celebrations. Ale in itself is always fine, When only it is a peg of wine. Enjoyed the aftermath narrated in this fantasy. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
Thank you Ratnakarji.....! I really enjoyed your comment in verse. Let me put an addendum to it..... When we feel our hearts ail To drown the pain, we turn to ale But its dose if we don't curtail Our senses, it might derail And finally might land up in jail
Valsa, This is brilliant. If I remember the mythology, Orpheus tried to revive Eurydice from the cold of death using music. Here you almost evoke Eurydice as the gate keeper at death's door....ushering us ever closer and closer to the cold.....that arm! That image! This is beautifully done.
