Fangs Beneath The Silk Poem by Sachidananda Panda

Fangs Beneath The Silk

Fangs Beneath the Silk

The shadow's cuddle on moonlit eve
Dishonesties tangled to texture
Eyes that once whispered sugary happiness
Now fuel the fire of endless plight.

Duplicity's cruel scorn tore the strings
Love's melody now annulled of chance.
Once bright as dawn's first light, a trust
Fondly basks in deceit's embrace.

Resonances of laughter now gone forever
Treachery theatres its woeful tune.
The blade unseen, yet deeply felt
Some sobs silent where faith once dwelt.

In the Orchard of dreams forgotten
Where loyalty ripped the layers
A tale of hearts, once knotted tough
Now lost to the cruelest lot.

As evening crawls in, embers burn bright
The fragrance of the morning bloom laments
At the far end of the garden
I struggle with the viper's silent bite.
