And now you've passed on a chapter of your family's history to us grateful readers. What a miraculous story! Thoroughly enjoyed this very worthy POD! Congratulations, Cowboy Ron on that honour!
Congratulations Cowboy Ron Williams for your poem being selected Poem of the Day for the second time!
You've made a sale; fantastic tale! I bought it all the way! This has been chosen to spotlight the second time today!
Ron, HUGE congratulations! ONCE AGAIN, this poem has been chosen, not as MEMBER poem of the day, but as THE poem of the day! A wonderful story, and you told it well!
I don't agree with your assessment---your tales have scenes painted with words, and there is the beat of horses' hooves giving your work its rhythm and rhyme... and we hear voices behind the words---tis poetry
Sometimes when we are at the brink of death or impending death, it is where.at our best.
A wonderful and interesting story of courage of a great grandfather. Very entertaining.
THE NEW PH FORMAT IS DISASTROUS. I THINK CLICKING ON PoemHunter.com, above, will take you to a page to write a complaint.

2 – Once, visiting Niagara Falls with my folks, a woman's hankie blew into the Niagara River, just downstream from the American Falls. I jumped into the river, from the international bridge, almost grabbed the hankie, but didn't catch up to it till we both emerged from the swirling cataracts 1/2 mile downstream. The End bri :)
1 – i almost decided to NOT read this since there are already so many comments. ok, i'll read it. Now, THAT'S almost a " tall tale" , ...but i believe it. Of course stuff like that happened to me all the time in my youth. (cont.)
Family history can be a good poetry Here is the example
'I don't pretend that this is a poem' (from your 'Poet's Notes') - who says it's not? I loved it so much that I gave full marks to it in the rating,5/5! You are a great storry teller through poetry. Loved the happy ending! Best wishes, dear poet, greetings from Bangladesh!
By the time he got his head above water, the cattle and his captors were no longer visible.......life is the name of struggle; time after time, moment after moments there come a lot of physical and mental wars in life; who defeats all difficulties, dilemma, critical situation and makes the moment favorable to live S/He is winner in live.....superb poem penned on realistic life;
Harrowing story., reminds me of John " Liver-Eating" Johnson aka John Jeremiah Garrison Johnston. The Crow know of his deeds.
Fantastic story, Cowboy! Congratulations on Poem of the Day! Wow! What an honor! Your account has only been active for what - - two months or so? I've been here over a year and it has never happened to me! You seem to have a natural talent.
