Families Must Remain Together Regardless Poem by Hebert Logerie

The children should be, at all time, with their parents.
Regardless, the migrant families belong together.
The children should not be with officers and agents,
Or appearing in court, alone, for asylum matter.

Sending a dirty subpoena to a three year old toddler
Is unconscionable and stupid. This is going beyond.
This is utterly unacceptable. Our children need better
Treatment. They are not like small chicks in the pond.

Our children are little humans with guts and emotions.
They should not be housed in detention centers or prisons.
They need love, better accommodations and protections.

Our children are our bundles of joy, our hope and our future.
They need to be set free, so they can grow to be great citizens
Of the world; they shouldn't be part of a politician's misadventure.
