Fame And Fortune Poem by Kevin Patrick II

Fame And Fortune

Shame... is the name of this game
And I'm... too tired to play
The rules... are always changing sides
And Hunger... eats away at my Pride

Living...just to barely survive
I fail...to win prizes for nothing
The hustle... spits me out to the grind
Losing... the privilege of my mind

Greed... is mans favorite creed
A faith... shared by everyone
The goal...is to climb the top
On backs... of everyone we chop

You can have your pretty fame
and I will keep the fortune
Dance around for others strings
And I can plan Extortion

Vanity's your favorite trick
Well I can sell it for your rights
Money is my only friend
But I will never pay your price
