False Beat Poem by Sheryl Barison

False Beat

The moment we have met,
I don't have to even bother.
After one day we have been together,
It was the beginning that I'm longing for your presence.

I ignored at first this feeling.
But it makes me confused.
And it grew deeper
Every time I see you.

Then I find ways to know you better.
I begin searching,
And start dreaming.
That You and me
Will be someday.

But I found out its too late.
Your heart belongs to someone else.
I feel like I lose everything.
I was drowning in my feelings.

Thought had crossed my mind,
As I debrief myself on how much it hurts.
I realized you are not one of a kind.
And it's only a false beat,
The feelings I had inside.
