I have to agree with everything RoseAnn said, except that at first reading I didn't get the 'death' part. I thought it could have meant divorce or separation of some other sort. In any case, a well-written poem. Thank you for sharing with us.

A very intense and eerily haunting poem of lost love through death. A perfect portrayal of the emotions hiding beneath the surface. Excellent poem! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn

A perfect poetic expression of a melancholic mind, missing the love and the pleasing moments of life and reminiscing them in the darkness of the night. Thanks for sharing this feeling through your lovely poem, Valerie.

Hi Valerie, after a two year break I have started writing again. Lovely poem, memories can be like phantoms floating through your mind particularly when I think of my lovely wife Tina. Its been three years now. How are you?

I find some kind of similarities in this poem and my own 'Alone In The Dark'. And your poem 'Alone' and my 'Loneliness'. Maybe in theme only. I consider your writing far superior though, but at the same time I think everyone has their own voice as poetry is an expression of oneself. There is so much I can learn from your writing. Looking forward to reading more by you.... Ayman
