Reminds me of the song by Talking Heads in which the singer wakes up to find that he's living someone else's life. Is he really any happier? No! True happiness comes from within. As you have so masterfully illustrated in this excellent poem. Tony, thank you for the vivid imagery and your wise words. Always a joy reading your poetry!
A flower in full bloom does not want to be a mango. A fish dancing in the water does not want to become an elephant. The imagary in this piece is brillant, if only we could walk in anothers man shoes for the day I'm sure we would be more gracous towards others. Annette
