Falling Poem by Balint Nagy

Falling

We were born
Into this world
Just to be one of a million stars
We had a bound
And it showed
I shouldn't been afraid of heights
I was trying so hard just to get you
Now I'm dying to forget you

We are almost the same
Running like moths into flames
You used to hang on every word I say
But now they are always recoil
We are falling away
You're nothing but a bittersweet dream
So if you tryna put your heart in my way
It bounces off the walls I've built.

Thought I was whole
I forgot it could fade away
But I've been taught
I am replaceable
And in the silence I have realized
That I have to say goodbye
To the fortresses I left behind.

After all, I built a wall.

We are almost the same
Running like moths into flames
You used to hang on every word I say
But now they are always recoil
We are falling away
You're nothing but a bittersweet dream
So if you tryna put your heart in my way
It bounces off the walls I've built.

I'll join these broken souls
They're so beautiful
I'll join these broken souls
They're so beautiful
They do know
They do know my heart

We are almost the same
Running like moths into flames
You used to hang on every word I say
But now they are always recoil
We are falling away
You're nothing but a bittersweet dream
So if you tryna put your heart in my way
It bounces off the walls I've built.
