Fallen From A Fable Poem by Samuel Richard Leonard

Fallen From A Fable

Rating: 5.0

Speaking to the sky
but these words aren't heard.
What happens when you die?
Their answer is absurd.

They're so condescending,
I can see why they're hated.
We're done pretending,
We're no longer elated.

You tell yourselves lies,
and hell we believed them.
Now I truly despise
those lies I believed in.

I know I'm damned,
I've made my peace.
I am not trapped,
by my beliefs.

I know I'm damned, I've made my peace. I am not trapped, by my beliefs. Beautifully expressed. Thanks for sharing it.10.
