The living Holy God of heaven and earth, will bless and help you in many ways, even for writing this piece of work, Stephanie! Thanks for sharing it!
Hi Stephanie A wonderful bold and strong way of projecting phrases that one can enjoy. I thank you for your chromatic style of verbal wonderment. BTW I am at the moment under the gun doing three music projects at once. When I am through I want to look into this special poetry connection you have told me about.
Wow, great poem, I love the opening verses they kind of struck me as though you were one with nature. sometimes one has to go outside to rediscover themselves!
yes in a day and age when were either watching television or absorbed in online activities we forget to raise our children to boldly seek adventure outdoors. i wrote this for a friend grieving the loss of her mother. she and i both have first nations native american ancestry. As a tie that binds us together. i wanted to express my hearts condolences and well wishes for her healing process.
I'm writing my comment on your FALL FESTIVAL poem in the first day of Fall which is not just a coincidence of the calendar; it relates to your native blood and awareness of that native ancestry inspiring your writing. I'm convinced of it. Your poem has a ritualistic quality in its rhythms, details of nature, invocation of nature, native cultural elements, native spirituality. Re-reading a poem like this can only strengthen your connection to these things. I re-read it and the dense details became clearer. When you re-read it your soul will become stronger, healthier. This poem goes a long way in answering the question: WHO AM I?
the shuttle for weaving is carved from Dogwood because it bears no splinters to damage the yarn or thread it is also said to be the wood used in the Cross the Lord was to loose his Life and gain his crown and forgiveness for the gentiles= non jewish people's the voice's in the poem are sometimes elder's and some time's God
You know Stephanie before I read your comments I felt strongly this poem was coming from native American spirits, am interested a bit in Shamanism, Crystal healing and the likes and somehow this poem seemed to me come straight from ancient spirits.. thank you for sharing
Hi Stephani, Great poem. A very soulful rendition of blithe spirit if I could borrow words from Shelley. May you hold your heart and spirits open My heart hugs you... Congrats for this powerful poem, speaking directly to the hearts of the reader. Thank you for sharing. I am adding it to my fav poem, so that I can come back to read it again and again. A full ten.
