A beautiful poem, Smoky. I envy your gift for writing rhyming poems with such apparent ease. I'm back after a long break and I'm trying to write rhyming poetry now myself. This one of yours is simply captivating because it draws me right into it and I can smelll the smells you menion and feel the warmth of the sun, and your visuals are so pleasing. It's very well written.
