“scudding ebony clouds”- I’ve always seen the lengthening shadows of day under the onerous monsoon clouds but “ebony” -it always eluded the frail fingers of skin-deep thoughts Fall, the words from my lips with exquisite stir- musical when you never came- “you made a promise or was that an imagined thought imagination so thorough that it leaves no doubt go back where you came from why I say so when you came not when it rained”
