Faith's Transaction Poem by Gary James Smith

Faith's Transaction

FAITH'S TRANSACTION

Faith's transaction began a transition
When I first believed in Christ
Translated now from the Kingdom of Darkness
Into His glorious light
How could I know that the soul could contain
Such a joy and a peace within
How marvelous the grace of our loving Lord
When we accept His forgiveness for sin

The Angel's recorded my name up in Heaven
It was entered in the Book of Life
Being born again by the Spirit of God
Salvation becomes my delight
Now prayers of praise poured from this tongue
That never were spoken before
Thank You, Lord, for this so great Salvation
Repentance and faith being the Door

Hallelujah what a Saviour
I cannot help but to sing
When Satan had me bound with sin fetters
Christ broke sin's strongest chains
Now greater is He that lives within
For faith's won the victory
I raise my heart's banner for Jesus Christ
That loved One who died for me!

Hallelujah what a Saviour
Now Christ is my everything
He is alive as my Resurrection
I cannot help but to sing!
He is alive as my Resurrection
I cannot help but to sing!

Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
