Silent does sleep supine time like a snake
Coiled into endless coils, its face on hide,
The world unfolds nigh unperturbed beside
Whilst faith in wombs of space still wide awake;
Life a common link in a silent lake
Moves on, stands still, as history unfolds,
Eternity as in her bosom holds,
That death-devastation can never shake.
Whilst geographies keep changing forever,
Nations get effaced from the face of earth,
Whilst kings and mighty kingdoms lose their worth,
Memories get whilst blurred, lose their flavour,
Indolent time watching O as if frost,
Divine faith anchors at a new safe coast.
