I'm afraid the River Brock has been rather naughty yesterday, breaking its banks and causing severe flooding in its lower reaches. It took my daughter nearly two hours to get back to her home in Lancaster. This is usually about a 40 minute trip. I'll be making a new visit soon. been writing about those blessed Committee meetings this morning!

Thank you, Bharati. The valley of the Brock is very much part of my childhood, My mother was born there and her father owned much of the land on the North side of the river. My cousins and I spent many happy times there and it is a magical place still.
