I stand on the far side
And watch the tide
As the waves stride in
Where sandy a beach lies
The ocean sweeps in
And swallows it all
Never to be seen
Until the tide resides
Gone is the beach
With its golden sand
Gone beneath the ocean
Never to be seen
Under the deep dark ocean
Where mighty sharks reign
The sandy beach lays
In its resting place
The once warm sand
Is as cold as frost
The happy place
Is as silent as night
But nothing lasts for ever
And the tables shall turn
The sandy beach shall rise
Where the mighty ocean now resides
It's the cycle of life where
Nothing lasts forever
And never is always slain
Possibilities are aplenty
And failure is just a name
