Fading Moon Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Fading Moon

Rating: 5.0

Bye, I bid you dear love
With heavy heart
On journey to oblivion

I miss the shine of joy
That cause me no sweat
And guarantees steady gaze

Bye lovely one
Whose beauty is subdued
By potency of exotic technology

Bye natural heritage
Now confined to the archive
As kids are denied the joy
Bye, as you bid us bye
To journey oblivion
The good ways of our fathers
The natural way of life
Is lost to kids of new age.

An expertly worded portrayal of human enslavement under the potency of exotic technology, well conceived and nicely brought forth with conviction. An insightful work of art. Thanks for sharing, Kingsley.
