Fay, what a beautiful poem, hauntingly beautiful like a freshly mown graveyard with flowers everywhere! my two favorite lines... What reaches the soul stays there, it seems. like an artist you have painted these words While we had time our star burned so brightly. this line is the most haunting...ia really interesting angle.... that love fading, falling, and burning out is about choices made with our time? most poems would have 'While we had our time' as though love coming and going is just fate and we just ride along. looking forward to reading more of your poems!
Nothing can erase true love, and you have said it so well here..10
Fay, this is a sad poem where the words once said it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Top marks and thanks for sharing this with us my friend. Hugs David
, Love is hurtful, love is pain, love can drive a man insane! promised, practiced in his mind, not like a clock you can unwind! sprung, for life, and promised to, a heart, of truly, but a few those words (I do) say it all, the smallest sentence, ! believe me ! its true
aww fay. i hope this is creativity... good piece.
Very nice - I have felt/feel that same way - your poem speaks to me.
