Such a wonderful poem Daivd. Written with such truth. Another big 10 from me. Hugs Pam
David i enjoyed this bittersweet poem. Its true you did capture the sadness. I also like old photographs but prefer newer ones as i try to live now. This writing game is fun I envy all your years of fun and experience. Thanks for the memories Bob B
Looking at those photographs, all the feelings come rushing back like yesterday. When I'm down, that's what I do, and I wallow in the feeling until I can't stand another minute. Then anything else feels better than that! Still it's nice to have that photo to look at just to know it's there if you need to. I have a valentine card that is 5 years old, and I've read it a million times! Just touching it still gives me chills. Ah, sweet torture! You write from the heart, David. Linda
Some memories are too precious to let fade - however sad the parting may have been. Better the memories and photographs than nothing - but still the sadness comes through as it should. Lovely heartbreaking poem. jim
I thought this was a sad poem. But I looked up at the happy, smiling picture of my mother, right above me and the lovely memories came flooding back. A bitter-sweet write, David. Love, Fran xx
