Faded Light Poem by stephen robert the jar sutton

Faded Light

FADED LIGHT

Like a faded light
You appeared to me
With a boastful grin
Fading into iniquity

But your sins will get you
In the end
Like meeting
A long lost friend

Like a fading light
You came to be
A subject for
Controversy

This fading light
Is going out
And provide such answers
For those in doubt

Your religion
Will never save the day
Your thoughts will
Just simply fade away
