the friends and lovers i cherish to glimpse
are they that display kinndness to refresh
others; not their chameleon hues and lies
born of the selfish cravings of all flesh;
these traits that are kinda hard to disclaim
are self-seeking paths of moral decay
that sow the kernel of all human crime
and desicate our life like summer hay
the choice is in our hands, as well, to fall
to the snare of living a double life
or prove our correctitude to not hurl
a fellow being to the corral of grief
but gladden our fellow man by giving
and, illustrate the bare bones of living!
