Faceless Poem by Uche Nwanze

Faceless

Rating: 5.0

The thing before my own eyes are faceLESS masquerades
The country is going cashLESS.
Girls are going topLESS
My people are becoming hopeLESS
Corruption has beaten us helpLESS
Peace has been rendered homeLESS
Our youths are becoming useLESS
Our woes are endLESS
Hunger has driven us senseLESS
Problems are becoming countLESS
Poverty has made us breathLESS
Our leaders appear clueLESS.
My limbs have become motionLESS
The poor are getting defenceLESS
The criminals are becoming relentLESS
The weather is becoming merciLESS.
I sit and stare in awe at the ageLESS sun
Everything about life seems worthLESS
You hardly find anyone spotLESS
Everything I taste seems tasteLESS
This sad story is timeLESS
I wish the citizens will be fearLESS
I pray in the midst of these storms I will be fretLESS
The thing before my eyes are just faceLESS
masquerades

Girls and women are going topless! ! Exposing their nakedness to the eyes of the public! Sadness. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
