Face Of Friendship - 3 Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Face Of Friendship - 3

Big Bad John

He came in from the cold
In a time when he was bold
Looking into his father's tired eyes
In an age of the bluest of skies

He fell to his knees when his mother cried
Remembering all the dreams that had died
Tears streaming down his saddened face
Searching for something to give him grace

He smiled the bravest of loneliest smiles
While traversing long and dangerous miles
Laughing just the same while crying
Thrashing the goals frying and trying

Big Bad John coming through loud and clear
Reminding his folks why he's so dear
A heart of gold wallet full of charm
Created a man that did no harm

Coming into the bold
When his life had been cold
Searching his father's redeeming eyes
In a time of sunniest skies

Resurrected mom full of Happy
Dreams becoming a reality
Life's lost found after broken
In memories that were stolen

She laughed the bravest of smiles
Her son winning all those miles
He smiled with a tear in his eye
His father trying hard not to cry

Big Bad John with a heart of gold
God could not break this wholesome mold
His family and friends so near
In this place he finds no fear
