Face Of Friendship - 1 Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Face Of Friendship - 1

Christ's Friend Chris

Radiant smile open welcoming arms
Offering friendship to lost lonely souls
From broken homes and desolate streets
To a place where camaraderie reigns supreme

He sits enjoying food and sharing drink
Stealing time for memories of homeland
Sipping Guyanese rum from his secret flask
Laughing enjoying life rolling with the punches

His is the face of friendship
Warmth kindness compassion
Disguised in a game of fun pool
In stories of love and laughter

His is the face of friendship
Brotherly love of life
Disguised in a box full of songs
Recording music for the soul
