Fable ~ Basna Poem by Jankovic Zoran

"Why are you crying for my butterfly?
Why do you want to fly to the sky?
You were an ugly caterpillar
and now you're a wonderful insect?
You have wings,
but be happy you're not a bird.
If you were a bird,
I would eat you a long time ago."

The eagle said, and flew toward the sky.

"Zašto plačeš moj leptiru?
Zašto želiš da letiš prema nebu?
Bio si ružna gusjenica
a sad si prekrasan insekt?
Imaš krila ali budi srećan
što nisi ptica.
Da si ptica ja bih te odavno pojeo."

Reče orao i odleti prema nebu.
