At your age I am sure, this is an exaggeration! I don't deny that such fears can enslave anybody at all ages. Generally people suffer from insomnia at a late age. Fear is a wasp with poisonous talons and when stung, it will destroy our mental health. Speaking of fear is a way of alleviating our fear. Through poetry we allow a kind of healing by venting out all that is suppressed. Nika.... I wish you sound sleep in the ensuing nights!
We don't get to choose our family members the way we pick our friends, or even dispose of them if need be. This poem lets you vent your righteous anger. You do need to seek a sanctuary so you can keep some measure of calm. Because as you say, someday I will bear the witness to the aftermath, and you have to reserve your psychic energy for the aftermath when the worthiest and unworthiest will both need your help. And you will give it because it will be the end-game and because you are innately ONE WHO HELPS! !
I know how difficult it is to deal with such a situation. But to remain sane and whole is so important! Losing one's calm in such dire situations is even more detrimental. So, a kind of escapism by keeping yourself shut inside a closet is the better way to deal with it! Hope the tension eases out at the earliest! Great write Nika!
