The sheen of globalization and allurements of materialistic approach to life extended by it has eroded the influence of isms(spiritualism included) on human mind which may be quite unfortunate. Congrats on projecting similar views as also on poem of the Day.

I agree with Christina and Lantz. Classic works of art, be it literature, film, etc., should be left to stand on their own. It is very seldom that justice can be done to the original.

Piece of great elegance with rendition of words to utmost justice. Brave utterances set aside for honest reflection. A very strong write, focussed and factual. Thanks for your spiritual insight and do remain blessed.

I must say this poem didn't do a single thing for me. Sorry. I do detect confusion from the writer. Nonetheless Congratulation for recognition as poet of the day! ! !

Why has this hot steaming pile been left in the middle of the road? It's an extract from an essay by Octavius Winslow that's been arbitrarily broken into lines and passed off as a poem? Thanks, Mary, but no thanks. Regurgitate something original. This poet and this site are too lazily to merit the effort I just put into making this comment. Shame on me.
