I like this whole poem - Length is important to your art, it's the way you impart meaning as the lines wind up, gather energy and then the key lines spring forth. There are two such passages in this poem that WOWed me. The first is the metaphor - Time is a god who graces happiness, etc. - What a positive view of time! Instead of being an enemy to the lyric poet, as it is in Shakespeare's sonnets (Hell, it's the enemy in ALL SONNETS!) , time is the ally of our human souls giving us the grace, which is the power, to both receive and give LIGHT. What a great message of hope and goodness - yes, goodness! These lines can guide my life toward a life worth living.
Yes, exactly! I have been feeling extraordinarily light and optimistic recently and just want it to stay, and have figured the way to make that happen is to actually just give it, share it :)
lovely poem, very positive! Thanks for sharing and of course, congrats on being poet of the day!
