Excesses And Deficiencies Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Excesses And Deficiencies

They drink to drunk
Who have no access
To will their cup

The gorge to glutton
Whose heart is damp
From want of warmth

They boast to shied
Whose weakness is bare
From adversary's treat

An ardent look of care to the heart
Reveals thirst, hunger and fear

You cannot but pity the deficiencies
Masked in false bravado.

A good heart can be expressed in the way one speaks. Thank you for reminding me of this. James
