It is heartbreaking to think someone's sufferings can result in a short bitter life. I can imagine the person in this poem jumping from a building, waiting for his sufferings to end as he was falling. This poem made me realized just how vulnerable people are. Great poem..

Wow. Fascinating, and very well-written....your concluding lines are so perfect with the perfume that vanished unseen, so strong, yet barely a reminder in vanishing just as each extinguished life does and is remembered not for long and no more. Ah, the thoughts tormenting him, his sins, his enemies, his griefs. Excellent! ! ! Beautiful, and so very bitter.
