Evidently How I Feel - 9-8-08 Comments

It rained the night before.
Father and son are walking slowly down the wet soggy pavement on a road that is better off alone. Father turn his head to the short left.
“Do you love me son? ” The father has been questioning this for some time now. Every night he walks down to the kitchen with plate filled with residue from the ham his wife made. Sits after he washes the dish and talks to himself. What happened to my life?
The son opened his eyes a little more than they already did. His mouth was dry even after the beer he had just drank alone. It was as if someone had taken a knife and carved around his lungs because when he opened his mouth to whisper his answer, nothing came out.

that was an extreamly visual poem/vignett, i really liked i, it was like i was there.
