Everywhere I Go Poem by Laquory Jones

Everywhere I Go

Everywhere I go there's a riot
Extreme injustices there's no denying it
Tell me whose really guiding it
I'm just trying to give the world new
Enlightenment systematic racism
We have to find a way to fight this
Taking the hate then ignite it
Sealing fates by changing
Worlds no matter who you are
Black, White, Man, Woman
Boy or Girl I'm taking a stand
Because it doesn't matter
All lives truly matter mixed with-
In this melting pot of societies
I had to let the color splatter

Peace, Love, Wisdom and Guidance
That's all that we should be
Striving after no jokes, no giggles
Or Rooms full of laughter
I'm just spilling my truth before
We head down that path of
Disaster it took the world 52
Years and we as in America
Are still trying to get over
Slaves and Masters

The world's in a cluster
While the governments are
Aiming backwards with the
Police aiming for murder
While the innocent lay in
Pleading knowing security and
Protection is all that's needed
One bad apple placed the whole
World in tatters while some on
TV have their masks on backwards

Forgetting about the corona-virus
Altogether thinking the droplets
Can't pass through leather
I just feel we all should strive to do
Better and lest not forget that we're
All in this together no telling where
We'll be in mid-September
If we still have a place to even call
" A home to remember"

Buildings & cars simmering in embers
Letting out a battle cry that can still
Be heard through falling timber
We're burning our cities only to have
To rebuild them later through sweat
And taxes all to just appeal to what
Masses trying to change legislation
While the Governments are ordering
Evasive actions honestly this all
Makes me feel nauseous just know
I'm here fighting for the same causes
Government telling us to stand down
And just cut our losses while they
Pay cut all bosses I too near lost it
But we have to be the smartest
