Ever Closer Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Ever Closer

Revelations illuminate that which is to come
supposedly as a gentle wind; physiologically mesmerizing
exposing an informative labyrinth within the frail prism
of what has become our grasping human minds.
Strong interactions entangle our thoughts
and inaction is creating elements of distractions
disturbing the enlightened, perturbing the establishment
causing rage and incitement, making everyone excited
with each of US fabricating subject matter beyond
the average, above the socially acceptable and
taking US further from what is a precious truth.
Leaving all of US running from the future
always battling with our creator, displacing
our demeanor, casting US out of our belief'
disrespecting our group strengths, fearing of
things that were once endearing, cheering on the
mob's mentality, denigrating all that is positive
ignoring the parameters of what did make US
fruitful and dynamic. Are we not placed here
to become more thought filled and provocative
embracing elements of things impossible and so
implausible; each of US becoming as scientists and
provoking one another towards the focus of this age?
Our purpose must become above and beyond all that is
normal, introducing wondrous and constructive motivation
reaching out to all Earth's relations, echoing credulous
celebration in our individual creativity and in our
elation; for that which is coming ever closer.
