I think the effects created by the rising sparks—the main subject of this poem—might have been more elegantly rendered in free or blank verse without trying to make a rhyming poem. Even a good poetry-craftsman like Frost could struggle some in this respect—a caution to those with less practice at it. -GK

an evening orchard - On every tree a bucket with a lid, And on black ground a bear-skin rug of snow. The sparks made no attempt to be the moon. They were content to figure in the trees lovely all scenery
