Even If Poem by Wilfred Mellers

Even If

Even If

So many guys often say to you
That I've been seen with many girls;
But rest assured that it's not true.
No more lies or alibis.
I have nothing to hide.
Trust me, for I only love you.

And even if the sun doesn't rise,
Or even if the stars don't come out,
And even if the moon doesn't shine,
I will always love you.

Even if the rain doesn't fall,
Or even if the flowers don't bloom,
And even if the world stops,
I can't stop loving you.

So many guys want to take my place.
Between us, they are trying to do their best,
Corrupting your mind so you left me behind.
No matter what they say or do,
I will still be in love with you.

So many times, you say you're going to stay,
Yet you've packed your things and gone away.
I don't know if my heart can let you go.
If you've stopped loving me, then I must let you go.

And even if the sun doesn't rise,
Or even if the stars don't come out,
And even if the moon doesn't shine,
I will always love you.

Even if the rain doesn't fall,
Or even if the flowers don't bloom,
And even if the world stops,
I can't stop loving you.
