Although none can be both ethical and political,
Without ethics, politics turns to barbarism—
Government and state, though often identical,
Differ greatly in true democracy's prism.
A government who thinks itself the state,
Forsakes democracy for autocracy's name—
Democracy, a fool's jungle, according to that
Ballot, all agars and weeds become the same.
A ballot's like a snake with a dual face,
Shedding its skin, changing with the seasons—
For true democracy, ethics must place
Over politics, with clear, honest reasons.
I raise my voice for politics that's right—
To ethics' call, I yield, with all my might.
