POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Jack's older brother was only 9 years old when he died of rheumatoid fever. Prior to his death, the Roman Catholic nuns surrounded his bed and recorded his heavenly visions which he had been reporting to them all of his so short life.

Thank you so much, Rebecca. Jack had said that if it hadn't been for Gerard, he wouldn't have pursued writing. Instead of seeing a great writer, the world would have witnessed a superstar football player.
