I wandered in search of truth,
In quest of freedom, a timeless youth.
Under trees, in shadows deep,
In silence, secrets I did keep.
To Allah, my soul would cry,
In whispers, prayers did fly.
Many times, my heart did yearn,
For a glimpse, a blessed turn.
Though I may not see His face,
In this life's fleeting race.
Yet I hope, before I depart,
To find Him near, within my heart.
In love and fear, I tread this way,
Seeking Him, night and day.
Life may end, but still I plea,
Before farewell, let me see Thee.
