Escathology Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Escathology

Escathology

After another day and the perpetuity of calendars
Words digest a man, his heart abandons him,
Postures decline his indentity,

The walls collapsed on his lawn,
And he is happless,
Against his own mortality,

When speeches were popular,
And the voters elected him,

It was these unknown times,
When lies were precedence,

One word mistake poisoned the entire crew,
And he was abandoned by his constituency

In the flare of escatology,
He engendered sympathy,
Admits my mistakes,

Man is never sufficed,
The glint of gold and it silver linning,
The songs from his lips and the debts in his heart,

Are hard to compute,
what it meant to seduce,
the seducer to the seducee,
and infinity,
