Escape To Paris Poem by Adrian Phiri

Escape To Paris

Rating: 3.0

I know we just met, but, can we run away to Paris? Hear me out, I'm a little bit nervous but I'm not lying when I say you remind me of goddess of rainbows, her name is Iris. Heyyy, trust me, I promise to keep you safe and I promise to not do anything that might land us into a crisis.
I'm sorry I've been talking too much I didn't even ask you, are you really up for this?

If you are, then take my hand and follow my lead. Hold it tight and keep up to speed. Your heart is in safe hands I promise I'll never make it bleed. I get weak in my knees when you come around and I just start unboxing all the feelings I hid.

Let's run away to Paris and maybe there I'll get to show you what my love really is. I can't seem to get enough of you, when I look at you it's like I'm seeing you for the first time and I just start to freeze. Till now I can't wrap my head around how pretty you are but there's just something about you that puts me at ease. I remember you told me that I could stay in your heart, but if only I could find the missing keys.

Let me take a moment to just appreciate how amazing you are. I'll just be honest and tell you that I'm just trying to cross wherever the last guy set the bar. I might not have a lot to offer but I am almost certain my words will have you pointing in five different directions like you a star. Let me be your Aladdin, and you can be my Jasmine, we can run away to Paris and in our story, we'll never have to face a Jafar.
