Escape Plan Poem by Tom Allport

Escape Plan

Rating: 5.0

As the fire alarm cried out
The panic set in
Smoke filled the room
From the burning waste bin
No time for blame
Just time to escape
Through a broken window
Down a fire escape.

Well, GRRRRRRR, I guess PH isn't accepting poem rating today.... GRRRRRRRR. at least they are accepting comments. I will make a note to return and give you a ten when PH is more accommodating.

Those abrupt brief lines fuel the fear and speed your reader out of that apartment, heart pounding, hands shaking, fleeing that smoke down the fire escape. Well done! ! ! I felt as panicked as if I was there. Hopefully with just such a plan. 10++++++++++ and a spot on my fav list
