Who are then the 75% who Succeed? 'People like you who do not Necessarily have great IQs But do what you do- Great EQ. And, by the way, why do you feel You are less than a success? It’s your sheer Humility! ', He said. Yes. Absolutely true. The theme is very relevant in today's world. You have handled the theme in a very unique and interesting manner by giving a first-person account of your experience at the EQ workshop. Undeniably, EQ is the mantra for success and not IQ. Thanks for sharing.

Someone mentioned rating. Thinking about it I rate this poem a tenner, for its ease of cleverness capable of vying with a fable from Aesop. And Aesop has been with us for a whole lot of years.

Dear Rathi, i was reading these days one book on emotional intelligence. then ur poem came. nice coincidence. is nt it. The book i just read is from Daniel Golemann. emotional intelligence. why it can matter more than IQ. you have very well portrayed the problems in simple language. it redefines what it really means to be smart. it is emotional mastery. it is self-perception.it is rediscovering the fascinating facets of emotion. the roots of emotional intelligence is bases on the foundations laid down in the early ears. well done Rathi. thank u for sharing.

Very well written. I like how you show through EQ that it is not in fact our IQ that gets us through life, but in fact our 'EQ'.

Your poem explores the idea of emotional intelligence with integrity through the obvious colloquialisms and direct speech throughout. I certainly commend your philosophy that there is a distinction between the intelligence quotient and our ability to rationally control our emotions. Therefore this makes emotionally stable people more successful than knowledgeable people, (but perhaps not in the academic field) , whose arrogance inhibits their ability to assess situations with their heart and not their head. I rated it eight out of ten.

pretty revolutionary Amrit, i like it. it reminds me of the millions of books about 'how to get rich' on the streets these days. work hard, work hard and work hard is the baseline of them all. nothing new. but still i can't hesitate grabbing a copy for myself. thanks Amrit.

Ah yes! EQ is almost a necessity for the times to come as stress levels rise and competition stiffens. Good thought.

The Emotional Intelligence is very difficult to acquire. You take such a serious subject and make it so light to understand-one can't imagine. I liked the essence and the way you presented it [As the others are quick to anger or blow a fuse, And they don’t know, nor can control, Fight up with friends or not fit in a team Don’t understand how others feel, Still take no responsibility for whatever happens.] Keep writing.....
