Epistle To The Young Poem by Charles Karia

Epistle To The Young

Epistle To The Young
See how your days are short,
So short is the youthful life,
Old life and days will be long,
And long shadows will be dark.

In dark you'll long for the days gone,
But gone they'll be; a feast in dream,
Many a dream of youth you will have,
But have none the power of gone days.

Before days cold and nights long come,
Just come and invest on things eternal,
With eternal Jesus as the worthy captain,
The captain's words will in peace keep you.
