Enter If You Dare Poem by Lauren Coles

Enter If You Dare

Enter if you dare
Ghosts are part of the territory of Halloween,
But these days you have to be careful about where you go at night,
People decorate their houses with cobwebs and plastic spiders,
Some people take Halloween too far and they get killed and or even kidnapped,
Kids love to get candy from their neighbors and friends,
But they may have their own kids that they might want to take trick or treating so they leave the door unlocked,
If you get even close to the door you can the ghosts breathing down your neck even though there is no such thing as ghosts,
For my own safety and others I'll leave a bowl of candy on the porch that says "take whatever you want".
