Entangled Poem by Galina Italyanskaya

Entangled

Rating: 5.0

Dare say, you cannot be farther,
On another pole of dismay.
We're farther away from each other
Than two arms of the Milky Way,
Than diverging in their directions
Twinkling stars from two distant worlds,
Anti-worlds, space and time reflections -
What's in common one could behold?

We may differ in our opinions
Taking opposite points of view,
Years pass and the Earth is spinning:
Nothing similar, nothing new.
From all possible sides and angles
There is nothing to link two fates.
Yet the strangest way we're entangled
Like mysterious quantum states.

And no matter how far you've been straying
From the Earth into outer space,
You can easily hear me praying,
I can clearly see your face.
Let it be going on forever,
And you'll never step on my land,
I'm not scared of any 'never'
For as long as I hold your hand.
