It wouldn't be a lie to say
You're an enigma to me
At times, you are so warm and open
Then, turn and shy, like a wild pony
You disappear for long intervals,
And then become all chatty.
From silent, to reserved, to revealing,
The contrast can drive me batty!
It seems you have a tug-of-war
That's going on inside
The things you have yet to resolve
Leave you unsatisfied.
From young-at -heart, to feeling old
Preoccupied with death
You contemplate on many things
With each successive breath.
One moment, you're a loner
The next, hungry for love
From daily mundane struggles,
To seeking God above.
You're a puzzle; you're a riddle
You're complex, yet simple too
You're a challenge; you're exciting
But best of all, you're you!
We are at best all mysterious and puzzling to someone. Very good write. The talent I lack I'm glad you possess.
I hope that you only mean that we are talented in different ways. For you are certainly talented, in your own right. : -)
You're a puzzle; you're a riddle You're complex, yet simple too You're a challenge; you're exciting But best of all, you're you! ..... Life itself is enigma
LOL Prabir In spite of the serious content of my poem, I have to agree with you- - that often life itself can be an enigma. Thank you for commenting!
One moment, you're a loner The next, hungry for love From daily mundane struggles, To seeking God above....very beautiful line
