Enforcing Without Endorsing Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Enforcing Without Endorsing

"Is life blessed to get,
Meant to learn lessons?
Or are lessons to learn them,
Has a purpose for living life...
To acquire a learning,
Of lessons.
As best as one can."

Surviving near death to experience it,
Makes nothing to return back again,
Normal.
Values and priorities change.
Done not to request.

Many may come to realize,
The losing of their lived normal lives.
And saved to witness,
A ravishing pandemic.
Doing its horrific work.
Spreading a virus shocking eyes to see.

No one say exactly where or how,
It started.
With such an unsported enforcement.
Without endorsing its presence.
No one can say,
They wished to have wanted...
Their lives to live is this dramatic way.

No time is given,
To pick from which delusions kept...
Are more important,
Than others reality comes to take away.
No time is given consideration,
Who perceives what is 'normal'.
That which was 'yesterday'...
Has quickly faded.
For something undefined.
Promising to stay.
Evading beliefs whether deceived or not.

Normalcy?
Long before this pandemic arrived.
Rumors of war, conflicts and genocide,
Had been a practice World wide.
'Normalizing' this effective,
Cleasing of some places...
Of races and religious affiliations.
Given no acceptance or respect.
Long before this 'virus' had arrived.
Those empowered to inflict,
Their misdeeds and evil on humanity...
Did it to achieve greed, pain,
And their mentally sickened version...
Of 'normalcy' left to leave,
On the ones innocent to grieve it.

"Is life blessed to get,
Meant to learn lessons?
As best as one can? "

Many are left to wish,
A returning back of a normalcy to live.
Praying from them a pandemic to go.
Lifted from memories.
And heartbreaking sorrows experienced.
But this virus when it passes,
Will leave an impression.
Regardless of which lessons to learn.

And...
If we as the human race,
Decide to eliminate ourselves.
Off the face of the Earth.
The Earth still evolve.
Erasing one headache,
To replace it with another.
Until gratefulness and respect to it,
Is finally given.
