It never ceases to amaze me the myriad of poetic hard hitting ways war can be depicted. And depicted so well and bitter sweet. Your poem Domini fits into that deserved category. You mention Moloch a few times, were you inspired by Milton's Paradise Lost. For so few know of him. Five stars and more than richly deserved for your sinewy, thought provoker of a poem. Take care and many thanks for writing and sharing. Take care.

I'm aware of Moloch via the bible. However, I've recently been reading Howl by Allen Ginsberg to aid me with the main poem I'm working on for the course. In the second part of his rather long free verse poem...he brings up Moloch (via lots of anaphora) to personify U.S capitalism and the military industrial complex...powerful stuff. The poem is my first attempt at a sestina and was pretty pain- staking to compose. I'm pleased it spoke to you.
