Ending In Tears. Poem by Oscar Munir

He wanted to take it up to the horizon,
I've never seen such a determined guy! Every one wanted to see how he would do it so they washed their faces to ensure sleep doesn't seize them,
He was set, his vehicle could carry a couple of other people but he chose to have and carry only one passenger on board.
'Are you ready my dear? ' he asked her. Swiftly they began the journey when she nodded in agreement,
The parents of the two however were against their relationship and,
Their prayers were for them never to make it to the top,
He encountered a lot of obstacles which together with his passenger overcame, ah! there was love,
He was about to reach the great horizon but when he turned to smile at his passenger,
Unfortunately she had jumped off to another ride.
